What to Avoid:
Overwashing
Frequent washing weakens natural fibers and fades artisanal dyes. Wash only when necessary, and always follow the recommended method.
Machine Washing Delicates
Do not machine wash silk, wool, handwoven, or embellished garments. These require gentle hand care or dry cleaning.
Bleach or Harsh Detergents
Avoid bleach, stain removers, and strong chemical detergents. They break down fibers and damage fabric finishes.
Wringing or Twisting
Twisting garments after wash distorts their shape. Instead, press gently between towels to remove excess water.
Hanging Heavy Pieces
Heavy jackets or knitwear should not be hung on narrow hangers — this causes stretching. Use wide wooden hangers or store flat.
Sunlight & Humidity
Direct sunlight fades natural dyes. Humidity attracts mold and weakens fabric integrity. Store in a cool, dry place.
Storing in Plastic
Avoid plastic covers. They trap moisture and suffocate the fabric. Use breathable cotton garment bags instead.
Ironing Directly on Fabric
Heat can damage embroidery, prints, and natural textures. Always iron inside-out or with a pressing cloth.

Perfume or Deodorant on Garment
Spraying perfume or deodorant directly can leave stains and chemical burns on delicate fabrics.
DIY Cleaning of Stains
Never rub stains or apply home remedies. Consult a professional cleaner familiar with fine garments.
